Objectives of the Society
- Providing integrated studies and scientific consultation for individuals, institutions, authorities and foreign agencies.
- Technical collaboration with the Fisheries Development Agency in carrying out scientific projects on the development of Aquatic Ecosystems in Egypt.
- Building up projects to provide solutions for Aquatic environmental problems.
- Providing scientific and/or technical consultations for the protection and development of Wetlands and Lakes.
- Organizing training workshops and seminars on preserving areas and aquatic environmental development.
- Raising aquatic environmental awareness of students and general publics.
Mission & Goals
- Supporting of motivating aquatic environmental protection activities.
- Integrating aquatic and environmental issues with socio-cultural activities according to community needs.
- Making the required environmental studies for various fisheries and aquatic ecosystems projects.
- Establishing database information center about fisheries and aquatic ecosystems in Egypt.
- Holding training courses and symposiums about aquaculture and various environmental aspects.
- Publishing an international scientific journals in the fields of aquaculture, fisheries, aquatic pollution, plankton, aquatic benthos and general aquatic environmental subjects.
Implemented Activities & Projects
- Sharing with EASED in the project of Biological treatment of sludge at Dakhlyea Governorate.
- Sharing with Faculty of Science Ain-Shams University in the project of development of Lake Burullus and Lake Bardawil.
- Studies on the River Nile ecosystem to evaluate the impact of the freshwater crayfish Procambarus clarkii on its biodiversity.
- Impact studies of fish cages in Damiatta Branch.
